The body of the car is in absolutely lovely condition in my opinion for its age and mileage, Engine is probably in need of a little TLC, or maybe something simple like Airflow meter or the Actuator sticking, but feel free to browse the photos read the description fully, or come and view the car to make you own mind up. This car isnt the usual tired, battered, worn out, imported, used and abused S14`s thats been used on a track or raced about, this one is original, the last owners were Mr+Mrs Tootell from Glossop, and probably "Tootleled about" in it ...!!! . Read the description, Scroll down and browse the photos, then make your judgement !!! It`s the ideal car for someones daily driver, donor car to turn into a track day car, drift car, car to polish at the weekends, or something cheaper to run than your porsche or more weather friendly than your motorbike, but still has total and utter sportyness to travel to and from the office in etc...or maybe you`ve wanted to upgrade your older tired Nissan or Toyota for one of these increasingly popular S14`s... Maybe you`ve been to Japfest and now have the horn for one, either way, the choice is yours.. From the outside 4 paces away, the car looks remarkably clean and tidy the paintwork looks very good, nice and shiny solid red, with only a few small car park dents on the nearside door and quarter panel, a fair scab of rust on the front of the bonnet (see photo), and a few scabs on the bottoms of the rear quarter panels, any spots of rust etc, that are on it I have photographed below in the LOAD of photos at the bottom of the listing, a few stone chips relating to the age and mileage of the car,, but the car looks very very well indeed in my opinion...I`ve only driven it approx 100 miles and got the thumbs up at the lights off one other motorist. There is a couple of small bubbles of rust on the two offside wheel archs, small one just on the top of the back panel (inside boot edge), and a couple of small marks on the roof but again,all these little spots of rust or marks are shown in the photos. There is also a fine 6/8 inch scratch on the offside quarter panel, but If you bear in mind the car is 2001 and not a 2010 model, I`m sure you`ll be happy enough with it. The Wheels are in a poor condition, they dont appear to have any kerb marks, but they have suffered quite bad corrosion, If the car had another set of wheels it would look simply stunning... The previous owner kept one of the original wheels, So it is included in the sale (its in the boot), The tyres are all in good condition and all all seem to have plenty of tread left on them approx 4/5mm all round, a matching pair of Ceat`s on the front, a Pirelli and a Kumho on the rear. The two Ceat Tyres on the front look fairly recent and in good condition. Imagine what the car would look like with a nice set of big white wheels !!! (last photo, not this car, just used that photo off the internet to give you ideas) The Interior is also in good condition for it`s age and mileage in my opinion, bearly any wear on the seat, steering wheel, or pedals, just a slight bit of wear on the seat as you`d expect with its age, but nothing excessive... The car doesn`t look like it`s been smoked in, nor does it look to have ever carried a pet etc... Although the seats are in a good condition in terms of wear, the car could do with a light valet to freshen it up, but it`s not filty dirty by anyones standards, and is perfectly useable as it is. My problem is trying to find a decent valeter ! so easier to leave the car as it is and you (the winning bidder) sort it yourself. The boot carpet is somewhat manky and doesnt seem to match the cleanliness of the rest of the car, the Clarion 6 Disc CD Changer is also living in the boot, along with the space saver spare wheel and one of the original 16" alloy wheels. The Car has Air Con, but it doesnt feel too cold, so will probably need a re-gas, or if your going to use the car for a track car or drift car, you`ll be ripping it out anyway ! As mentioned, the Clarion CD Changer lives in the boot, and the headunit is a flipfront Clarion which works nicely with an electric aieral. It has all the usual Luxurys you`d expect from Nissan like :- Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors , Power Steering, Central Locking , Front fog lamps, flip front radio cassette player, Passenger and drivers airbag, Front Headlamp Wash, Rear Wiper, all of these items work correctly, the drivers side mirror looks to have had a "stick on" replacement, again shown in the photos, but it still moves electrically. The car drives superb as you would expect with a Nissan despite its age, theres no smoke, untoward bangs or rattles etc... BUT !! the engine is pretty down on power to what I was expecting, the previous owner tells me he had it plugged in and that it`s the Mass Air Flow Meter ? , I think it could more likely be the Turbo Actuator sticking, but I`m no mechanic... The engine also sounds very "cammy" or "tappety"... I have shown a video at the bottom of the listing but I must admit the video makes the car sound horrendous ** it`s no where near as bad as that video makes it sound... The noise doesnt get worse or better when cold, so I pressume it just needs a good bit of servicing or fettling by a decent mechanic... The Gearbox and suspension are all fine, slight bit of a judder off the brakes when going quicker, 40/50/60mph but a set of discs would solve this if it really bugged you... again, im trying to be super critical to save any dissapointed bidders. So to cover myself, and save any time waisting on my or your part, then please bid with the above statement in mind or come and view the car (before the end of the auction) to make your own assumptions. After some looking on Google and Youtube, I believe these SR20 Turbo engines do suffer from VCT noise etc. which is probably what it is on this (but not as bad as the youtube ones !! ) .. so probably common fault and anyone buying these will know what they are doing. The car looks to have a powerflow exhaust system on it, and it also had a new o/s/r shock for its mot apparently. There is however a pile of bills supposed to follow with the car, showing it`s had a loving owner.., however, as with all previous owners, once they buy another car, they soon forget about forwarding stuff on, so take it as there is just the Logbook, an Old MOT, a couple of service bills, and the Current MOT with the car, also the car is taxed until the end of September 2012, and is ready to drive home !! The car will be supplied with, full logbook (V5) , one main key/fob , an old MOT, and the current MOT valid until 18th April 2013. The Car will also have a HPI Printout report showing the car hasn`t been seriously accident damaged, stolen, on finance etc... Welcome to my auction for my red Nissan 200sx s14a Auto Touring.Right, Ive owned the car since January 2007 and used it as a daily driver ever since, though ...> last month I purchased a new car and the SX has been on the drive since and Ive decided it`s time to sell. It`s been a great car, Ive never had any mechanical issues with it, its been serviced regularly since new and drives extremely well. Its never been tracked, raced or involved in accident. MOT till Jan 13, Tax June 12.Ive owned the car since it had 15k miles on the clock and is now up to a genuine 69k miles. The engine pulls like a train and is very clean and tidy, the gearbox is very smooth, the clutch pulls well and the ride and handling are both very good. Ive spent a lot of money over the years to keep the car in good condition. Generally they are prone to corrosion and rust but Ive had the rear of the car under sealed to prevent this. Last year I renewed all 4 shocks, top mounts and lots of the rubber bushes around the car and is very tight. The only mechanical modification to the car is a thicker anti roll bar at the rear and this adds to the tightness and handling of the car. When the bushes were renewed some were replaced with rubber bushes some with poly bushes. Its also had new pads and discs all round with the past 6 months.It has a FSH, all the major servicing has been done by garages and the minor servicing done by myself with the exception of the last service where I wanted to go over everything on the car. All the filters were changed including the gearbox filter, all new oils in the engine, gearbox and the diff and I had a 4 wheel alignment done on the car to make sure everything was aligned. The engine is very clean and I cannot stress a how good a engine the sr20det is. I also had 4 new Avon tyres installed at the end of last year, they have done about 5000 mile and have plenty on trend left (Yokohama`s were the standard tyre but these Avon have more grip and produce are better ride).I have done some minor modifications to the car but only to bring it up to date. Ive fitted white dials with chrome surrounds as can be seen in the pics. There are HID headlights installed on the main beam. The arm rest has a leather padded cover and some of the internally trim was sprayed black to freshen up the interior and matches the rest of the interior. The boot of the car has also been sound proofed.The interior is full black leather in good condition, though the drivers seat is showing signs of wear of the bolster from getting in and out the car, but overall the leather is good and has been regularly conditioned. The rear seats look like they have only been sat a few times as they are very good condition. The steering wheel is good condition though does have some small cracking. The stereo is the standard single DIN Sony head unit with steering wheel control and 6 disc CD changer in the boot. The air conditioning was recharged last year too. Supplied with 3 keys.The bodywork is good, there is no corrosion, I did have to have the front wings, drivers rear arch and a smaller part of the passenger rear arch resprayed a couple of years ago due to the paint in those areas being of poor condition. The job was professionally done and originally matched very well but as time has gone on it never faded at the same rate as the originally paint so is a slightly darker shade of red. I tried to capture it in the pics.It does have the usual stone chips on the front bumper and bonnet, a couple of small marks on the rear bumper and a mark on the drivers door, all of which are only noticeable on close inspection.The only other thing to note is there is a small clicking noise from the passenger suspension when turning from lock to lock which the car has always had. Ive had it checked over plenty of times and the alignment done but apparent it can be common in these cars.As I say its been a great car to me and well looked after! Ive got receipts for a lot of the parts and work if you want them.Boring bit,Feel free to make an offer and test drives can arranged after Ive seen the proper insurance cover for the car. No time wasters or test drivers please. I would prefer cash on collection though a bankers draft will also suffice. The car with not be released until the payment is received in full. 5-door station wagon (1997-2000) The Nissan Cefiro was an intermediate-size automobile range sold in Japan and other countries. The 1989 model was introduced initially as a 4-door sedan, however a wagon was later produced. A large proportion were equipped with automatic transmissions.
Originally marketed towards the Japanese salaryman, Cefiro sold much better outside Japan, becoming extremely popular among middle class in countries such as Taiwan thanks to its high performance and comparatively low price. The marketing approach was towards Nissan Silvia owners who wanted four doors and was the replacement for the Nissan Auster.
The top model used the same engine as found in the R32 Nissan Skyline, a 2 litre turbo charged 6 cylinder engine capable of just over 200 hp (150 kW). Other variants came with other versions of the Nissan RB engine. Brand new, the Cefiro was slightly more expensive than the equivalent Nissan Skyline.
The model years of second and third generation Cefiros in Japan differ from those in the United States. The Cefiro was also a grey import that was popular in the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand and Russia. With each incarnation, the Cefiro was marketed more toward the executive segment, losing some of its sporty zeal.

6 External links [edit] A31(1989-1994) Unmodified A31 Cefiro with factory wheels Released in September 1988 to the Japanese market, it ceased production in May 1994. The A31 series included many hi-tech features, such as HICAS 4-wheel steering, sonar-controlled electronic damping, automatic headlights, and an automatic electric rear view mirror, many of which were seen later on the R32 Nissan Skyline, released one year later in 1989.
The A31 Cefiro was similar to the Nissan Laurel. The Cefiro is something like a luxury Nissan Skyline although these two were produced at the same time as the Cefiro. Mechanically, it was closest to the Nissan Skyline and Nissan Laurel, as they all had the same floorpan; but it shares its MacPherson strut front suspension with the S13 Silvia with the exception of the 4WD version which shares the same front and rear suspension as the GT-R and GTS4 Skyline.
The A31 Cefiro featured several versions of the RB-series straight-6 engines including the intercooled turbo RB20DET, although it was slightly detuned in the Cefiro. It also was not fitted with a re-circulating blowoff valve like the RB20DET powered Nissan Skyline. Dashboard of a 1992 Cefiro It was also, together with the Nissan Skyline, one of the first production cars to have a 5-speed automatic transmission in the 2.5 litre and the very last of the 2 litre models. All 2 litre turbo versions with automatic transmissions used a 4-speed transmission.
Unlike many new car designs at the time, the A31 Cefiro was rear wheel drive, with all-wheel drive models being available as well. Unlike the future versions of the Nissan Laurels and Nissan Skylines, the Cefiro would become a front wheel drive in all models following the A31 Cefiro.
At the beginning of its production it was mostly overlooked as just an ordinary family sedan compared to the Nissan Skyline but in later times it has become very popular in the drifting scene. Spurred by the relatively cheap price of the car compared to other drifting vehicles in Japan, some enthusiasts bought the Cefiro for use in drifting. As a result this car has gained cult status in Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia as a drift car due to the interchangeability of parts with other performance models and highly tunable nature of the chassis design. It is also a relatively cheap car outside Japan as it is exported second hand.
This chassis was also the basis for the S13 chassis in the Nissan Silvia.
The Cefiro A31 was introduced in 1992 on the Taiwanese market. Manufacturer of this version was Yulon. Yulon displaced its old brand name Yue Loong and changed it into AREX which should be a new brand specialized for luxury vehicles. So AREX was the local luxury brand for Nissan vehicles. The AREX Cefiro was the first vehicle with this new brand name.
The car was sold in some markets, such as Latin America, as the Nissan Laurel Altima.

1992 There are also many "sub models" which are the same as the above listed but feature HICAS 4 wheel steering as well. Nissan took the unusual step of making a left hand drive version of the Cefiro, sold in Latin America as a Laurel Altima. The sportiest trim was called GTS-R. Unlike all the Japanese versions it was fitted with a carburetted RB24 which was a single cam 6 cylinder 2.4L RB series motor producing 141 hp (105 kW).
Later models were given a softer look with revised light and bumper/grill design as well as "interior softening". These are referred to as the "facelift" shape and appear a little more refined in appearance.

The most common engine modification is the RB25DET or RB30DET (turbocharged RB30 with an RB25 or RB26 head) engine swap, which gives the car higher torque than the RB20DET engine, suited better for drifting. Others have successfully swapped the RB26DETT engine (as used in the R32-R34 Skyline GT-R) with some minor oil sump modifications, along with an RB25DET gearbox. Some tuners prefer to use the lighter and more compact SR20DET using the RB25DET gearbox. Many of the S13 Silvia, C33 Laurel and R32 Skyline parts are interchangeable, which gives flexibility in choosing parts.
[edit] A32(1995-1998) 1995 Nissan Cefiro S Touring Nissan Cefiro wagon With the debut of the A32, Nissan changed the market orientation of the Cefiro from a small premium sports saloon (A31) to a slightly larger executive saloon. Generally the A32 was only badged as the Cefiro in Japan for the domestic market, A32's that were exported new from Japan usually wore the Maxima badge.
This particular series was softened considerably, lacking the sporting edge of the A31, losing the inline six and rear wheel drive for front wheel drive and a V6. It was equipped with the award-winning VQ series V6 engines. The A32 is the same chassis that forms the basis to the Infiniti I30 (which is near identical to the A32 Cefiro Brougham VIP model), as well as being rebadged as the Nissan Maxima QX for some other markets including the European, with three versions of the VQ, the VQ20/25/30DE, see Nissan VQ engine.
The Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) (Japanese: Nissan Cefiro) was also offered as a wagon, as an alternative to the Toyota Mark II Qualis, from 1997-2000.
In the North American market, the Maxima GXE and SE were closer to the Cefiro Excimo and S-Touring editions than the Infiniti I30 counterparts.
In Taiwan the Cefiro A32 was manufactured by Yulon under the Nissan brand.
[edit] A33(1999-2003) 1999–2001 Nissan Maxima (A33) ST (Australia) An Infiniti I. This was a rebadged Nissan Cefiro, remaining in production from 1996-2004. Sharing the A33 platform with Maxima and Infiniti I-series, the last true Cefiro was bigger. Like the A32, the newer A33 was designed more towards executive while retaining some of its sporty zeal. Available engines were VQ20/25/30DE-K/VQ35DE and some Neo and direct injection engines were available as well. Trim levels are 2.0 and 2.5 Excimo, 2.0 and 2.5 Excimo G, 2.0 and 2.5 S Touring, and 3.0 Brougham VIP. 5 speed manual transmission is only for 2.0 Excimo and 2.0 S Touring.
The limited edition L Selection and modified Autech version were also offered in Japan.
In Australia, the A33 was called Nissan Maxima and sold from 1999 to 2002. Trim levels are S, ST, and Ti. All models were powered by 3.0 liter engine.
The A33 is still in production for the Malaysian market and is available as the 3.0 Brougham VIP and Excimo 2.0G. The Malaysian model is manfuctured by Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur.[1] The A33 is also very popular in Bangladesh. The trim levels were 2.0 G and 3.0 GV
Another Cefiro version was built from Yulon for the Taiwanese market. It was the last Nissan Cefiro manufactured by Yulon. It was displaced in 2002 by vehicles from the GM Yulon joint-venture.

Main article: Nissan Teana 2006 Nissan Teana The Cefiro disappeared in 2003, but the name continues to be used in some export markets, using the Nissan Teana J31 as a new replacement model.
The J31 Teana was sold under the name of Teana in Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan & China. The same car is sold under the name of Cefiro in Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Singapore, Brunei, Latin America & Caribbean and Maxima in Australia & New Zealand.

Apexi AVC-R adjustable Boost Controller, Apexi SAFC-II Fuel Computer Mapped with a wideband lamda and detonation cans, huge hybrid front mount intercooler and all pipework, coldpipe from turbo to cone filter, AP uprated clutch, Walbro 255 fuel pump, FSE Fuel Pressure Regulator, Denso IK24 iridiums, Dano 3" downpipe, Apex centre silencer decat, powerflow centre and backbox with 4" tailpipe, Bailey dv26 dump valve, KYB AGX Adjustable dampers, Apex 35mm lowering springs, Whiteline Front/Rear Anti-roll bars, Goodridge braided brake hoses, Uprated front Track Control Arm Bushes, Whiteline rear subframe alignment kit, Front Camber bolt kit, Drilled front & rear discs with carbon kevlar pads, 17 X 8j Rota Boost alloys in gunmetal, also all the diff and gearbox oil has been replaced with Redline MT90 gearbox oil, Redline Heavy Shockproof Rear diff oil. the car is in very good condition both inside and out, its an absolute blast to drive and it is just awesome in everyway.
literally and im been picky the only bad points on the car are that there is the odd stonechip on the bonnet (which i have tidied up and are hardly noticable now) and the odd very small scratch here and there (nothing major at all) but its to be expected on a car of this age, please note i dont want the stone chips etc to detract the cars condition or to sound bad as theyre not im literally just been as honest as i can and im a perfectionist as was the last owner! this car bodywork wise is one of the best ive ever owned. £3800 any questions either pm me or ring me simon on 07834 483482 heres some pics...
