We have imported many of these Largo Highway Star`s in the past years and must admit, they have been one of our best sellers. These vehicles do drive really well providing Comfort / Style / Power / Economy and are very Spacious. The mileage on this vehicle is 72,000 miles. The speedo has been Chipped/Converted from KM to MPH and the SPEED & MILEAGE Runs & shows in MPH & MILES. The rear Fog Light has been fitted and all the necessary work/formalities for registration have been carried out by a professional auto electrician. ENGINE & GEARBOX: This vehicle drives as it should. The engine sounds good and the auto gearbox changes gears as smoothly as it should with the benefit of the Over Drive facility. Here for sale is a fantastic 4wd multi purpose vehicle. This is a Nissan Homy GT Cruise Limousine, it`s a 4x4 automatic MPV / camper / 8 seater. There ...> are 2 seats in the front and 6 in the rear. The seats all change around and can form a bed, but the seats are currently arranged to face each other with a table in the middle so it`s great for days out. In the boot is a self contained demountable camping unit with a Smev hob and sink unit a water container and a gas bottle. There is a small battery in the unit, which is wired from a cigarette plug to pump the water. The camping kit is untested at the moment. There is a normal size sunroof in the front and a huge one in the rear with a cover that acts as a curtain. The van also has electric curtains all round and a remote control that operates them all! She comes with She`s got a thick shaggy carpet and a decent boot. She`s got automatic transmission with switchable overdrive and 4x4. There are some bills for a new alternator, new tyres & 4 wheel alignment and a diff. The V5 and MOT are here. I`ll post some pictures of the interior when the camera is charged! If you have any idea how the seats work, please drop me a line as I can`t work them out. The van is based on Nissan`s E24 platform so parts are very easy. The engine is a 2.7 turbo diesel, the same as the Nissan Terrano amongst others.the van drives spot on, with great visibility so parking is a doddle. She needs a passenger mirror glass as it`s cracked and the interior lights don`t seem to work at the moment, but i will try and have look at the fuse? The vans body is very straight and tidy for the year, but she has had a bit of a bump on the rear so the bumper needs a bit of fettling. The paintwork could do with a polish and there is a tiny amount of corrosion starting to show, but she is a 1993! She is actually extremely tidy for the year, and I`m being over critical but I`d rather point things outThis really is a multi purpose vehicle, she`s a camper, an 8 seat MPV, a 4x4 or you could take the seats out and use her as a van. She`s four wheel drive, so the snow and ice are absolutely no problem at all. I`ve checked the TFL website and she is LEZ compliant, the reg is shown so feel free to check yourself. If you don`t want the camper unit & table, I`ll knock some money off and keep them for myself. There is no buy it now price, but if you want to email me a figure feel free. Pleasen only bid if you actually intend to buy, cash only and I will check the money. I can meet you at Reading, or another station nearby, or I might deliver for a fee but i won`t be setting off until she`s paid for. please feel free to ask any questions.I`ve just looked at the pictures and the marks you can see down the side of the van is actually dirt. WITH QUITE A LARGE SELECTION OF PEOPLE CARRIERS ON THE MARKET I THOUGHT I'D SHARE MY EXPERIENCE FROM AN IMPORTERS POINT OF VIEW. I GET ASKED TO SUPPLY A NUMBER OF CARS EACH MONTH DIRECT FROM JAPAN. I GET TO SEE AND DRIVE A GOOD SELECTION OF THEM AND THE MOST POPULAR MPV SEEMS TO BE THE NISSAN LARGO (1993 ONWARDS). MPVs ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE POPULAR AND THE CHOICE CAN BE A LITTLE OVERWHELMING FOR SOME SO I HAVE DONE A LITTLE REVIEW OF THE NISSAN LARGO. The revised Nissan Largo was launched during 1993 and came with 2 engine options - 2.0 Turbo Diesel and a 2.4 Petrol. If anyone tells you that they have a 2.2td or a 3.0 petrol - they are lying! Transmission choice was - Automatic or Automatic!! There was also the option of rear wheel drive or four wheel drive. The most popular among UK buyers is the rear wheel drive 2.0 TD version but do not be put off the petrol engined examples as they can still return good MPG and have a very strong engine. Most common colour was black, until late 1995 when Nissan must have had a surplus of white and silver paint! Assuming you are looking at a 2.0TD model there is very little to look for in the way of problems. The engines and gearboxes are very good, as is the suspension, brakes and electrical systems. Just do the normal checks - no excessive smoke or undue noises etc... A dull knocking noise from the front suspension over bumps is usually the front shock absorber top mounts (About £120 from Nissan, plus around 1.5 hrs labour) A clink clink metallic noise front under the front of the car is usually the front anti-roll link bar bushes (around £3 each from Nissan and take about 10 mins to do). The turbo kicks in quite early on and provides smooth power delivery all through the rev range. The engine should tick over and rev evenly. The exhaust has a short flexible section near the engine (almost under passanger seat) and the seals at either end wear more than the rest of the system. Other than these relatively minor points I have never found any serious faults with the Largo. Most parts are available from Nissan Dealers and service items are available from most motor factors. If your looking at a Largo which still has the speedo in KMH then do not worry - it's quite a simple job to do and cost around £10 for a new speedo face. When you do put the new speedo face on - have the multiplug connected to the back of the clock unit and have the ignition on or the needle will not sit correctly at '0'. Whilst looking around the car and checknig fluids etc...you may find that the PAS fluid is no where to be found. It is very well hidden under an inspection cover next to the gear lever but you have to pull the center consol out to get to it. Other than that and checking all the electrics work you should easily find yourself with a superb and very versatile MPV. Oh....Alloys wheels - I often get asked about wheels - PCD is 4 x 114.3 and look for an ofset around 25 - 38mm depending on overall size of wheel. If you are looking to modify one then nice alloy wheels, bodykits and suspension upgrades are all available.
