Mr J S Holmes purchased the village garage in Wisbech St Mary and opened for business in April, 1955. Mr Holmes repaired cars and lorries and delivered paraffin to residents of the village.

After a few years he took the Austin franchise and sold BMC Commercials together with Leyland, Albion and AEC.

In 1952 British Leyland relinquished the franchise and he operated for 3 years without any franchise until Mr Octave Botner at Datsun UK persuaded us to take the Datsun franchise, which we did and it has served us well to this day.

Stephen Holmes joined his father in the business after serving an apprenticeship as a Motor Mechanic at a British Leyland Garage in Wisbech and spent several years in the workshop before joining the Sales Department which he now Manages.

Martin Holmes joined the family business in 1979 after leaving college having studied a Business Course and now Manages the Aftersales Department. In 1991 Nissan UK were taken over by Nissan (GB) Ltd and with it came the need for a new Showroom to meet their requirements.

We are now celebrating our 52nd year in business and 31st year as a Nissan Dealer and have been awarded first place for Outstanding Performance in Customer Satisfaction for the 2nd time.

Mr J S Holmes is now in his 80's and is still actively involved in the day to day running of the business!
